Summer Fun!
Now that Summer is in full swing it’s time to break out the colorful purses and Beach totes. And that is exactly what we’ve done. I am fresh from a long beach weekend, and to be honest, wish I was still there! I plan on keeping my beach look going for the rest of the summer with the Miz Mooz Bonita sandal. This gorgeous flat sandal comes in bright snake print metallics- I favor the royal blue- and is equally at home on the sandy beach and the city streets. Add a breezy white dress, giant sunglasses, and an armful of bangles, and you’re good to go. The subtle shine on the Bonita works for day into evening, casual or dressy, and if I squint my eyes and concentrate, it’s almost like I’m back and the beach…almost. I love spring! Everything is blooming, the whole world becomes alive. As the nature wakes up from the winter hibernation it's time to rejuvenate our body. Days become warmer, so it's time to peel of those layers of clothing and show more skin. Treat yourself with a day in your favorite spa. A good massage, facial and body scrub will make your skin look fresh and beautiful. Finally we can start wearing dresses and shorts, revel our legs that were long covered during the winter months. A little bit of spray tan will make your muscles look more tone and give your skin a tint of golden glow without sun damage.
As you might know Dancing With The Stars contestants are know for their spay tan obsession. The spray tan craze on the show is not an accident since it's all about showing your body in the best light. However everything has to be done in a moderation. Orange looking skin is not attractive at all. I find that the spray tan we use on the show: St. Tropez, gives just enough color without making your tan look unnatural. Also don't forget that that we all need some sun exposure, it's our primary source of vitamin D and spray tan looks more natural when applied to a skin slightly bronzed by sun. Last tip I can give to a spray tan newcomers is to exfoliate before tanning session. It's quite important to apply spray tan to a smooth surface of the skin to make sure it comes out even. Pets with Disabilities is a rescue, not a dumping ground for people's dogs who have become incontinent. Guardians/ Owners, shame on you for not being there when your dog gets hurt. When you adopt a dog, it is a commitment; changing your life for a dog you love is what being a human is all about. Rescue groups who have taken in a wheelchair dog. Thank you!! Our rescue can’t take them all, it is physically and financially impossible. We help as many as we can. Please realize it will take time and patience to get these dogs adopted. But they deserve to live and given that second chance at finding a new home. That is what rescue work is all about. Donations are down, but we continue to help as many dogs as we can. Unfortunately money does not grow on trees. We have created a safe and wonderful environment for these dogs in need. They flourish here, and adoptions and miracles are happening here everyday. I have met the most wonderful folks who have adopted our dogs, amazing and incredible people who just "got it". They understand these dogs are different but can still be an incredible part of the family and they have. Cheers to you guys and thank you. I only wish there were more people on earth like you. Hello hello!
How are you? I hope you are well. I am doing fantastic. My schedule has been very busy and I’m glad to have a breather today. I have to share you these photos because they remind me of why I love being a makeup artist and hair stylist.
When you first look at the last three photos, you might think the makeup may be too much and too crazy. But you know what? This is art. I love the artistry involved in the entire magazine shoot from concept to execution. It could not have been any better. Makeup and hair can change a person’s image and I love the model’s transformation in these photos. Thumbs up to Vogue Italy for sharing these photos.
